International award-winning executive recruitment expert Monroe Consulting Group is recruiting on behalf of a fast-growing Japanese IT company specializing in web development, digital marketing, e-commerce support, recruitment consulting, and advertising agency services.

As part of our client expansion plan, we’re looking for a Bridge Engineer who speaks fluent Japanese and can serve as a link between engineering teams in the Japanese headquarters and the Vietnam office, based in Ho Chi Minh City with an attractive package and opportunities to advance your career.

Job Summary:

Your main responsibility as a Bridge Engineer revolves around fostering the growth of the Vietnam office as a key hub for global development, especially in its initial stages. Your expertise in building and organizing teams will be crucial in ensuring a stable work environment for engineers. Youll also have the opportunity to actively engage in strategic conversations with the Japanese management team, playing a pivotal part in shaping the overall trajectory of the company.

Beyond overseeing the engineering team in the office, your role will encompass promoting cross-cultural comprehension by utilizing languages, thereby contributing significantly to our global aspirations. Proficiency in Japanese is vital for effective communication in these tasks.

Job Responsibilities:

· Understand the application requirements and design specifications created by the PM of Japan headquarters, translate them into Vietnamese, and provide instructions to Vietnamese engineer team.

· Understand the content of questions/consultations from Japanese project manager and answer them so that they can easily understand

· Timely and accurate progress reports of engineering projects to the Japanese headquarters

· Review source code and unit test item documents, acceptance testing, and quality assurance

· Smoothly conducting meetings in Japanese with the management and development leaders in Japan, effectively managing tasks within the office, and bridging between the two countries

· Absorb, organize consultations and issues from Vietnamese engineer members, consult with Japanese development engineers, and find solutions

· Selecting, interviewing, training, and evaluating engineer candidates for Vietnam office

Yêu cầu công việc

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in system development tasks.
  • Deep practical knowledge in the web/IT domain.
  • Ability to handle at least one from both front-end and back-end is necessary (years of experience are not required):
    • Front-end: React, Vue3, TypeScript, Sass, HTML
    • Back-end: Ruby, Python, Node.js, PHP
    • Frameworks: Ruby on Rails, Django, Flask, CakePHP, Laravel, Express, Nuxt3, Nextt
  • Good Time Management skills & ability to deliver outstanding performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Proactive and have growth mindset
  • Proficient in spoken and written Japanese is a must (N1 or N2)
