Summary: The local EHS specialist will provide environment, health & safety operational support to the site in the Binh Duong (Vietnam). Additionally, the responsible for working closely with the business to drive implementation of Tecan’s global EHS management system and to ensure all local environment, health & safety regulatory. The local EHS specialist reports directly to the site manager and dotted line report to Head of EHS Offices based in Zurich, Switzerland.

The successful candidate will sign an-8-month labor contract.

Tasks/Activities:

- Drive the local implementation regulation and Tecan’s global EHS management system (ISO 14001 & 45001) and ensure that local requirements is met.

- Responsible for developing, planning, coordinating, directing environmental, and health & safety programs and activities to protect human health and the environment.

- Engage site functional teams, prioritize initiatives and resources to achieve EHS objectives.

- Drive accountability to ensure EHS ownership at all levels and instill and foster an EHS culture

- Develop and maintain accurate EHS metrics to report to onsite management teams and corporate based reporting systems

- Act as point of contact for all process EHS related matters and provide day-to-day advice and guidance on related issues.

- Lead the completion of hazard identification and risk assessments related to jobs performed (Job Hazard Analysis) and new equipment introductions

- Lead incident/accident investigations to identify root cause, develop corrective, and preventative action plans

- Conducts EHS audits/patrol, conduct a EHS risk assessment, recommend and oversee corrective /preventive measures to improve continuously safety and working environment, and to comply fully to local authority regulations.

- Responsible for recommending appropriate risk mitigation measures to management and facilitate the business in implementing them

- Support management’s efforts to ensure EHS compliance with Local regulations for site

- Interface with regulatory agencies and perform job duties in compliance with all local mandatory regulations and guidelines, specifically OSHA

- Support management of site emergencies such as evacuations and medical emergencies

- Partner with site training management team to develop, refine, and deliver EHS training content to support regulatory compliance and new hire

- Utilize Lean tools and principles (Kaizen, 5S, Gemba)) to drive Continuous Improvement of EHS programs

- Other EHS duties as requested

Yêu cầu công việc

Education:

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environment & Occupational Safety Engineer is preferable, or five years of directly relevant industry expertise

- Certified in ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001- Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry or be willing to take steps to gain required certification

- Internal auditor, First aid and CRP certificates are a plus

Experience/Requirements:

- Minimum three years of experience in environmental, health and safety, preferably in a life sciences or medical industry

- Experience in implementing and maintaining management systems such as ISO 14001 & 45001

- Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses

- Knowledge of and ability to apply needed local regulations report as they relate to safety and environmental protection

- Experienced in using lean problem-solving tools (Kaizen, 5S etc.)

- Demonstrated proficiency with various computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Forms, MS Teams etc.)

- Ability to work with others local department.
