THE POSITION

  • As a guest services assistant, you are required to optimise and exceed guest’s satisfaction by providing highly personalised & impeccable service with great attention to details and professionalism. In addition, you are responsible to take ownership of the resort’s communication and assistance of all guest service-related activities and tasks, including working closely with all other departments such as housekeeping, food and beverage, spa, recreation, residence and reservations, handling guest inquiries and complaints, and assisting with the coordination of guest itineraries.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a warm welcome to guests with Aman style introduction
  • Perform check-in & check-out duties and update guest’s profile and port folio
  • Assist guests with transfers around the resort or conduct site inspection tour upon requests
  • Coordinate guest requirements with other departments and follow up to ensure all queries are handled to maximum satisfaction
  • Collect any information about guests’ plans, pre-reservation services, special dietary requests, allergies or other safety conditions and coordinate with concerned departments to ensure guest experience is beyond expectations
  • Make suggestions and actively upsell resort operated activities, private dining options, tours and other experiences
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of resort’s products & services as well as in house promotions, events and activity calendar at the resort
  • Double check with concerned departments for any outstanding posting and ensure the guest bills are accurate before presenting to guests
  • Prepare daily departmental reports, correspondence & other related paperwork
  • Work closely with other departments for the arrangement of guest’s transportation, special dining options, turndown service, massages, tours, treks, etc.
  • Attend meetings or training sessions assigned by Department Head or Board of Management
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulation including fire safety procedures to ensure the safety of all stakeholders
  • Adhere to resort and department’s internal policies and procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Be detail-oriented and always willing to attend every guest’s needs in compliance with Aman standards
  • A team player and proven ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Proactive, resourceful and able to work with long hours and flexible shift arrangement
  • Personal grooming and presentation should always be of the highest standard
  • Very good knowledge of Microsoft Software platforms & OPERA PMS
  • Excellent knowledge of guest related functions and guest service
  • Excellent command of English
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
