The main duties are to support the development, operation and success of the Laboratories of the Computer Sciences study program at VGU.

Administrate clients, servers and networks according to teaching necessities.
Install, configure, maintain infrastructure services, as well as software that may have been installed or could be installed at the request of lecturers;
Installation and management of network infrastructure (switches, routers).
Assisting in teaching activites.
Working on research project(s) assigned by the supervisor.
Formulating plan and contents of tutorials and carrying out tutorials and exercises.
Proctoring the exams.
Supervise all lab activities to ensure compliance with health and safety instructions and guidelines.
Maintain a clean and orderly environment.
Ensure the operational safety of the machines, equipment and lab rooms.
Manage laboratory consumables and purchase requests for minor equipment.
Document information by maintaining machine and equipments daily logs and lab activities record books.
Developing, setting up, and conducting laboratory experiments for courses of the study program or other study programs and assess their laboratory reports if required.
Assisting students in projects, such as bachelor theses.

1.Qualification:Master degree in computer science or information technology or related fields.

2.Experience:

Experience in teaching support is preferable.
Experience in Linux system administration and with open source software is preferable

3.Knowledge, skills and behaviours required:

Windows system administration skills, routing and switching knowledge, real time systems and security.
Good in English both in written and verbally.
Be able to work efficiently, independent and self-organized
Highly responsible. Flexible in the work, friendly but correct in the cooperation with students and staff.
