Sika Vietnam is seeking candidates for R&D Chemist (Polymers/Admixtures) to develop PCE polymers /Admixtures for use in concrete admixtures for Sika Vietnam, analyze & compare competitor polymers admixtures against Sika products and be in charge of innovation & sustainability with new products.

This position will report to R&D Manager (expat) and base at Sika Head Office in Dong Nai .

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate with R&D manager and Concrete Target Market Manager on requirements of product for concrete in the market.
  • Develop new products and improvements of the existing products (formulation and processing requirement).
  • Optimize cost of current products.
  • Maintain and update knowledge of raw materials for PCE polymers/admixtures and their function.
  • Keep confidential company’s formulation information and documentation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the R&D Manager.
  • Work closely and coordinate with Sika Regional/Global Teams.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in Chemistry (Polymers preferred)
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good English and Vietnamese communication skills
  • Courage for innovation, hard-working, reliable, working under pressure
  • Good time management and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
