Job Purpose or Summary

The Commercial Brand Manager is responsible for delivering the overall commercial performance of the Pharmacity house brand and exclusive brands. Pharmacity brand is a unique point of difference and valuable asset for Pharmacity, and is an area identified for future growth. Exclusive brands add further differentiation and are important for delivering the category assortment strategy and wider customer offer.

The individual will manage the delivery of an ambitious sales growth target, which involves successful implementation of the end-to-end commercial plan across their responsible categories for Pharmacity house brand and Exclusive brands.

Main Responsibilities

1. Define and manage the execution of the end-to-end brand plan, both short- and long-term objectives. Including the communication strategy, price and promotion plan, merchandising requirements for new product launches and existing range;

2. Conduct in depth sales analysis on brand performance on daily, weekly and monthly basis, identifying actions and opportunities to improve brand performance and exceed commercial KPI targets;

3. Work closely and align with the NPD Brand Manager on new product briefs and commercial forecasts. Build and manage the go-to market launch plan for new products, working closely with cross-functional teams on the execution of marketing plans, merchandising displays, training and selling techniques;

4. Own and manage the monthly sales promotion plan for Pharmacity brand and Exclusive brands, setting schemes that drive profitable growth and meet the overall commercial objective. Complete promotional analysis to understand the effectiveness of promotion schemes and apply insight to future plans;

5. Develop Pharmacity brand pricing strategy in line with category guidelines and brand positioning strategies. Set prices and position products relative to market opportunities and competition;

6. Proactively manage the Pharmacity brand and Exclusives merchandising plan, working with the Merchandising and eCommerce teams for in-store and online display execution of the brand;

7. Ensure full stock availability for Pharmacity brand and Exclusives by working with Demand Planning department, providing short term and long term sales forecasts and factoring the impact of distribution changes and promotion in demand forecasts;

8. Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Retail teams to develop sales driving initiatives through building Pharmacity brand and Exclusives brand awareness, strengthening brand execution and improving customer experience;

9. Define the priorities for brand and product training. Working closely with and supporting the Pharmacity Training, Internal Communications and Retail teams on Pharmacity brand selling strategies, training initiatives, engagement activities, to maximize the internal engagement and brand knowledge of employees.

Organization and Team Management

1. Collaborate across the wider Pharmacity Brand and Exclusive Team to work effectively to deliver the departmental and individual KPIs.

2. Coach junior team members and lead by example, as a role model for leadership and behavioral competences.

3. Deliver training of processes, procedures, work standards/instructions where required.

4. Create best practices for the teams in the systematic approach and ensure activities are delivered in line with these best practices (Includes SOPs, process, policies, work instructions, improvement ideas).

5. Motivate, encourage employee engagement and ensure a positive work environment.

Yêu cầu công việc

5 years+ in a retail or FMCG brands organization in a field relating to commercial management, or category management.

Experience of healthcare, vitamins or personal categories is desirable, but not essential.
