· Identification of innovative and novel production solutions on the market and evaluation for potential use in the future Schaeffler production system

· Definition of hardware and software requirements in coordination or collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, internal project teams, etc.)

· Development, validation and implementation of specific software/hardware modules for novel, autonomous production technologies (Cobots, AGVs/AMRs)

· Setup (mechanical and electrical) and commissioning of innovative, connected production solutions and validation of defined functional modules in the test field

· Documentation of test results

Stellenanforderung

  • Successfully completed studies in the field of robotics, automation technology, mechatronics, electrical engineering, computer science or in a comparable field of study
  • Profound knowledge of electromechanical systems and robotics, ideally also in the field of autonomous robot systems and human-robot collaboration
  • Experience working with robot systems and robotic sensors (e. g. vision sensors, grippers) including software interfaces to relevant production infrastructure
  • Knowledge of CAD software / rapid prototyping
  • Basic programming skills (e. g. ROS, Python, C++)
  • Basic knowledge around artificial intelligence (deep learning, machine learning) and PLC is an advantage
  • Good analytical and conceptual skills, strong communication skills, independent and self-reliant way of working and ability to work in a team
  • Very good English language skills, both written and spoken
