Job description

Production planner is responsible for executing the master prod schedule (MP) and material requirement plan (MRP). At the same time, it must be make good use of labor, machines, minimize work-in-process (WIP) inventory, and maintain customer services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To release Manufacturing orders (MOs) to each work center.
  • To take control of MOs and make sure they are completed on time.
  • Line balancing & compliance.
  • To be responsible for the immediate detailed planning of the whole process.
  • Ensures effective employee relations.
  • To control day to day activity and provide the necessary support.
  • Other tasks will be assigned by Assistant Manager/ Head Dept.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Strong ability to understand and query information in the Mapics environment
  • Thorough understanding of Resonance, MRP and Mapics
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Understanding of purchasing, planning, scheduling, inventory management
  • Understanding of load, capacity and bottlenecks in the production environment

Job requirement

1. Education

  • Four-year university degree or similar level of knowledge and experience
  • Apics certification preferred

2. Experience

  • 3~5 years experience in production planning position.

3. Knowledge of:

  • MRP or ERP equivalent Material Requirements Planning software.
  • Product and process knowledge

4. Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and prepare action plan to achieve results
  • Must be able to improve working conditions (safety, quality, productivity, cost)
  • Measure and control performance goals and standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
