In order to succeed in this role, it is expected that you will have:

Knowledge/Experience

  • Solid understanding of financial investment evaluation and capital decision making.
  • Good understanding of mercantile law and key contractual elements as are pertinent to a contract logistics business.
  • Commercially sound – understanding and ability to identify business risks. Balance between risk and reward.
  • Background within 3PL Industry
  • Solid understanding of financial and management accounting.
  • Financial modelling, due diligence & post integration experience.
  • Good communication and analytical skills. Strong ability in business writing and ability to put together a comprehensive and well thought out business proposal/business case
  • Hands on and ability to work independently with strong negotiating, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle time pressure, have a position in an environment of strong opposing views.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work with individuals at various levels in the organization and in a multicultural and diverse business setting
  • Understanding of Warehousing, Transport and Management systems. (Good to have)

Technical/Professional Skills required

  • Experience with spreadsheet package (Excel, etc.)
  • Capital budgeting and related analysis i.e. IRR, NPV, DCF, notional cash
  • Proven problem solving ability with a solutions orientation
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Able to demonstrate the highest level of confidentiality at all times

Requisito de emprego

  • Tertiary Education or equivalent
  • Degree in Commerce, Business or logistics or related field from a recognised tertiary provider highly regarded
  • Prefer contract logistics background and expreience
  • Fluency in English
  • Applied Finance or CPA or equivalent
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to learn quickly, practice autonomy and solve problems independently.
  • Motivated, reliable and consistent in decision making
  • Sound conflict-resolution skills
  • Resolve to deliver results combining; intellect, humility and a moral compass aligned with contemporary business values
  • Sophisticated influencing skills
  • Creative and pragmatic problem solve
